GTA 6 release date set for fall 2025
Take-Two's earnings call has finally revealed a more concrete GTA 6 release date for Xbox and PlayStation, but no word on PC.
GTA 6 fans rejoice! An official GTA 6 release date has been set for fall of 2025. In the May 16, 2024 Take-Two Interactive earnings call, Lainie Goldstein, Chief Financial Officer for Take-Two, specifically said:
“We have narrowed the previously established release window for Grand Theft Auto VI to fall of calendar 2025 from calendar of 2025.”
No specific month was mentioned, but historical patterns suggest a September or October 2025 window for the Xbox and PlayStation GTA 6 release date.
Also lacking in mention was when or if the game would ever make its way onto PC. It is almost certain that the game will migrate to PC at some point, but the lack of a mention during the earnings call suggests that it isn’t a major priority for now.
Based on GTA 5’s journey from console to PC, we expect that a GTA 6 PC edition will eventually launch one year or more after the initial Xbox and PlayStation release.
Following the earnings call, Rockstar has yet to reveal what its most recent website update signified, or when the four GTA 6 screenshots it accidentally teased are due to be released.
